A research team under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zimmermann examines the investment characteristics of the global infrastructure industry. As a result thereof, a global index family has been designed which adequately reflects the risk and return characteristics of natural monopoly companies. By definition these companies are engaged in the provision of core infrastructure facilities and represent the base universe of the NMX index family.

LPX as the leading provider of Listed Private Equity indices calculates and publishes the NMX indices which are investable, tradeable and transparent. The indices are expected to be used as an underlying of tailored infrastructure investment products and as an adequate performance benchmark.
