Dr. Michel Degosciu

Dr. Michel Degosciu is managing partner of LPX AG. During his academic career, he conducted various studies on the private equity asset class at the Department of Finance, University of Basel. He holds a master degree with a major in Corporate Finance from WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management and a phd in Finance from University of Basel under the supervison of Prof. Dr. Heinz Zimmermann.

Dr. Robin Jakob

Dr. Robin Jakob is managing partner of LPX AG. During his academic career, he focused on research in the area of infrastructure at the Department of Finance, University of Basel. He holds a master degree with a major in Finance and a phd in Finance from University of Basel under the supervison of Prof. Dr. Heinz Zimmermann.

Alexander Lanz

Since early 2017 Alexander Lanz has been the Managing Director of the Happel Foundation which is based in Lucerne. Prior to that, he served as COO of Vescore AG. Between October 2013 and June 2015, he was COO for the business areas Institutional Clients & Asset Management at Notenstein Privatbank AG. Before that, he was engaged in different management positions at Bank Sarasin & Co Ltd. (now Bank J. Safra Sarasin). In 2004, Alexander Lanz graduated with a law degree from the University of Basel. In addition, he holds an Executive MBA with a specialization in Global Leadership & Intercultural Management from the Institute for Communication & Management (formerly the Institute for Communication Research) in Lucerne.

Prof. Dr. Karl Schmedders

Karl Schmedders is Professor of Quantitative Business Administration at the University of Zurich. In addition, he is a Visiting Professor of Executive Education at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in Evanston, U.S.A. Prior to joining the Faculty in Zurich, Prof. Schmedders spent 10 years at Northwestern University. He holds a PhD in Operations Research from Stanford University. Prof. Schmedders‘ academic work has been published in leading economic and financial journals.
